LAW DAY 5K

Join us on May 1, 2022, for a 5K to support Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota!

The fundamental right of “justice for all” is at risk for millions of Americans. As the need for civil legal aid increases at a rate that greatly surpasses the resources available, access to free legal assistance is no longer a right but a privilege for only those who can afford legal representation. Together, we can work to improve access to justice for all Northeastern Minnesotans.

Demonstrate your support for equal access to justice and join us for a family-friendly Law Day 5K run/walk!

Law Day 5K will support the critical work of the team at Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota (LASNEM). LASNEM provides free civil legal services to thousands of low-income people who cannot otherwise afford it. LASNEM serves eleven counties (Aitkin, Carlton, Cass, Cook, Crow Wing, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching, Lake, Pine, and St. Louis) in legal matters that impact people’s security, safety, stability, and basic needs.

The 5K will begin and end at Lester Park Trails and Playground in Duluth, MN on Sunday, May 1, 2022, with a 9:00 a.m. start time. The course follows Lester River Road and returns to Lester Park for a post-race gathering with refreshments, and tours of LASNEM’s Justice Bus! Your registration includes a Law Day 5K t-shirt. If you can’t join in person, you can still participate in the event by selecting the virtual option!

Parking: The course will be closed to vehicle traffic during the race for the safety of participants and volunteers. The parking lot at Lester Park will be closed at 8:30 a.m. on May 1, 2022. If you arrive after that time, you will need to find nearby parking. The parking lot will remain closed to vehicle traffic until the final racer has finished.

Register today! Registration includes a Law Day 5K t-shirt. Take advantage of the early bird rate now before it ends on April 1, 2022! Join us to support LASNEM’s critical services in your community.
