The fundamental right of “justice for all” is at risk for millions of Americans. As the need for civil legal aid increases at a rate that greatly surpasses the resources available, access to free legal assistance is no longer a right but a privilege for only those who can afford legal representation.
Together, we can work to improve access to justice for all Northeastern Minnesotans.

Law Day 5K supports the critical work of the team at Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota (LASNEM). LASNEM provides free civil legal services to thousands of low-income people who cannot otherwise afford it. LASNEM serves eleven counties (Aitkin, Carlton, Cass, Cook, Crow Wing, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching, Lake, Pine, and St. Louis) in legal matters that impact people’s security, safety, stability, and basic needs.
