How will I know if I am eligible for Legal Aid?
If you need help with a civil (non-criminal) issue, we need you to complete an application. Please call us at (800) 933-1112 or apply online. If you complete an online application, we will call you to follow-up with a few more questions to complete your application.
During your application, you will be asked basic information about yourself such as your name, date of birth, and contact information. We will also ask about your household income and asset information. This information is used to ensure eligibility and is a requirement of our funding.
LASNEM cannot help you without a completed application.
If you have barriers to completing a traditional phone application, please let LASNEM staff know we will work with you to accommodate any needs you have to complete the application process.
Once your application is complete, a case handler will review your application and let you know if we can help with your situation.
LASNEM’s services, benefits, and facilities are for use by all people. LASNEM does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital or familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
